Hey family…..

this week was just… a beaut!
Not that we had any success in the missionary work… but… you know what.. a positive attitude is key.

Basically this week was an abomination. However, we are working hard and enjoying the time given us to work.

I`m still reading in the Old Testament… it`s a beaut. I`m in 2 chronicles right now. It`s basically like a summary of everything in the Old Testament. We`ll keep reading and see how it goes. It has widely advanced my understanding of the gospel, as well as the origin of the Book of Mormon. A bible a bible, we have a bible… and yes we need more.

This week all of our investigators decided to stop listening… that`s cool I guess. We do have two that I think will be great baptisms coming up.

The family looks so big. Make sure you tell JP that I love him. I`ve been thinking alot about him lately. It was rough growing up with a bunch of girls. Let him know his big brother loves him and that we`re going to hang out all summer long.

Other than that… I’ve got nothing going on. The pics of the temple look great. It`s a pretty temple.

We did bring an investigator to the woman`s broadcast. We didn`t go ourselves, but she loved it. Hopefully she can keep progressing.

I love you all,

We were able to have a baptism this week!

We baptized Edith. She is a very sweet lady and is very spiritually prepared for baptism. She gave her testimony and said that she had been taking the lesson s from the missionaries for awhile, but they left. Afterwards, she felt empty and felt like she needed to talk to them again. She prayed that if God wanted her to get baptized, that he should send the missionaries again. A few days later, a member brought us to her house. She progressed very well, and is a very great convert. I was able to baptized her, and the bishop confirmed her yesterday. She looked so clean and happy on Sunday. She is great, and we are proud of her decision.

I loved the pictures of the rodeo. It looked like a lot of fun.

Also, I`m glad you liked the picture of Holland and I. It`s a good`n. I`m very excited to meet that little girl for the first time. She`s so big… dang I`ve been gone for awhile now.

I`m still reading the Old Testament. Right now, I`m in 1st Kings. It really is a great book. There are some very very interesting parts, don`t get me wrong, but the scripture gems as well. The book of judges explains very well the pride cycle of apostacy and peace. I love the story of David… It teaches me what not to do. It is a great book. It`s nice to read it this way. I have grown in my understanding of the scriptures, and I feel like I know what to say when investigators ask me about scriptures int he bible. Anything that proceeds out of the mouth of a true prophet is scripture… too bad people limit themselves only to the bible..

I love you all,

Love Elder Jacobsen….

the pics are good. There was some guy in our yard today cutting down coconuts. I thought it was pretty funny.

wow… I just wrote two letters to the family and they both got deleted.

David and Tarah wright are amazing. Even bald they still look great.

The week was great, it was stake conference. Elder Dallin H. Oaks spoke and it was amazing.

The investigators are still progressing. E and C have recently finished reading the first book of Nephi, and are progressing well. E.. is preparing to be baptized this week. We hope she does it. She`s been looking a little skeptical.

I have recently starting reading the Old Testament. I am now in Joshua. It is very interesting to read about the symbols of Jesus Christ, and how everything in the Old Testament points to him and his atonement. I have learned very much about the 12 tribes of Israel, our heritage, and how it connects with the book of mormon. I want to read the Bible in 30 days, and I call mom to a challenge…. however… that`s your decision.

It was great to read and learn of the priesthood and the gospel dispensations. I am learning alot, and many missing links in the gospel are coming together.

The class schedule looks good. Sounds like JJ has researched what classes I need to take and is making some good decisions. I think that schedule sounds fine. Just schedule me starting at 9 if you can. Anything earlier than that in college is equal to the plagues sent down on Pharaoh.

Things are going swell. Time is flying by.

If you have questions, now is the time.

Sorry if this seems short… I wrote this letter twice, and my time is running out.

I love you,
